Lindsay Lohan and her dysfunctional family managed to make a little news this weekend, as dad-from-hell Michael Lohan attempted an intervention with his troubled daughter. So who’s lying?

The latest Lohan family drama began on Friday, when Daddy Lohan showed up at Lindsay’s home to stage an intervention based on his claims that she’s been abusing drugs and alcohol. Not surprisingly, the actress slammed the door in his face and called the police.

From there, the story descends into he said/she said territory, with a report on TMZ that Michael Lohan had pre-planned the intervention with members of his daughter’s management team—none of whom have come forward to corroborate his story. Michael has stated that he intends to file for a conservancy over Lindsay, as Britney Spears’ dad did during her infamous meltdown.

Now Lindsay is striking back, claiming that her father invented his stories because she has cut him out of her life. TMZ quotes her telling friends that her dad has no hope of getting any action from the courts since, “They would have a hard time believing the claims of someone who was investigated for insider trading, arrested for domestic violence multiple times, arrested for assault, has a drunk driving arrest, and has been in and out of jail and prison for years.”

The 26-year-old star is currently planning to request an order of protection against her father. The L.A.P.D., D.A.’s office, and Beverly Hills courts would probably like to be protected against the entire Lohan clan.
