Halle Berry is opening up about her issues with privacy, her fiancé, and her surprising political connection.

The Oscar winner might be up for another after her upcoming movie, Cloud Atlas. It’s all about how everything and everyone is connected. Her reality started to mirror her fantasy when she got the news that she was related to a very interesting political character, Sarah Palin.

Berry said she’s related to the former Alaska governor in “Some twisted way,” adding, “Somebody sent me this information that she was my distant [relative].”

That info all came out as she hit Extra to talk about her new movie, but as November’s InStyle Magazine’s cover girl, she talked more about less shocking things like her daughter and fiancé, Olivier Martinez.

When Berry weds Martinez, it’ll be her third time down the aisle and she isn’t ashamed that she’s taken that route one too many times now, “It’s another one of those never-say-never things. I’m a hopeless romantic, and I won’t stop till I get it right.” Could this guy be the one to end her marriage bad luck? Let’s hope so, because the way she talks about him, makes one think this is it, “He’s silly, a clown, and very much the life of the party, which is good for someone like me.”

After they tie the knot, it’s up in the air where the couple will settle down and call home. Berry has always been very vocal about her daughter, Nahla, and keeping her out of the limelight. Berry feels that moving to France will protect her even more: 

“It’s the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla. I don’t want her to grow up around the tabloids. Because we are followed all the time, she is starting to feel like she is somehow special, and of course she is, but I want her to understand that she’s special because of who she is, not because she was born into this celebrity blender.”

Family aside, the 46 year old actress did take a second to talk about herself and the fact that she doesn’t stress about getting older, “Appreciate the young women who look like you once did, but don’t strive to be like them. You’re moving into a new phase of your life—embrace it. That’s what I hope to do.”
