Russell Crowe will be taking a big hit in the pocketbook due to his upcoming divorce from Danielle Spencer. How much, you ask? A cool $20 mil!

Spencer has so far refused to speak to the press about her split from Crowe, but she’s expected to walk away with close to a third of the actor’s $65 million fortune. The two have been married for nine years and have two children. Their pre-nup specified that the marriage had to last over three years for Spencer to be eligible for a chunk of her hubby’s cash.

Crowe’s holdings include farmland in New South Wales worth $30 million, a $10 million penthouse, and a Rose Bay mansion.

The breakup is being blamed on Crowe’s busy work schedule, which kept him away from his family in Sydney for months at a time. There have also been rumors that Spencer was romancing her “Dancing with the Stars” partner Damian Whitewood while Crowe was absent.

Crowe won’t have a lot of time to sit around and brood about the breakup, since he has a schedule of six films lined up. That should keep him busy—and make up for the money he’ll have to shell out to his ex.
