American Idol might have feuding divas like Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, but X Factor has Britney Spears’ tears.

Who thought it was a good idea to bring Spears in as a judge? She appears to be having a rough time watching contestants’ hearts shatter right in front of her as she was brought to tears on this week’s episode.

X Factor is in boot camp mode. Um, apparently this is when they put people against one another and have them sing to the death. Some contestants didn’t even crack, while others completely fell apart and when they did, Britney was right there with them. This includes 15-year-old Jordan Shane who left the stage crying.

Spears told LA Reid, “I don’t like that she’s crying. It makes me want to cry … I don’t want to cry.” Reid’s response was a comforting arm and a simple, “You already are.”

The 31-year-old pop star tweeted afterwards, “I couldn’t help getting emotional. It’s so hard to watch them crack under pressure when I know they want it so badly.

If she can’t handle this part of the competition, imagine how she’s going to act once they go live and the real heartbreak starts coming as the best of the best are slowly let go.
