Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey—it was a diva dustup as these two “ladies” blew up on the set of “American Idol” on Tuesday! Will the first person voted off the show this year be one of the judges?

TMZ is reporting some major drama has gone down at the judging table. Things started peacefully at “Idol” auditions in Charlotte, NC, but soon got out of hand as Minaj was caught on tape cussing at Carey and screaming, “I’m gonna knock you out,” and “I told them, I’m not f*ckin’ putting up with her f*ckin’ highness over there.” Country star Keith Urban, who had the bad luck to be sitting between the two female judges, threw up his hands with a look of disgust at the proceedings.

Sources at MouthToEars.com tell a slightly different story, claiming Carey was the one who made repeated jabs at Minaj, who then blew up and walked off the set. After Minaj’s manager and entourage begged her to return, Carey continued to cuss at her rival, calling Minaj a bitch. At this point, the show’s producers gave up and halted filming.

Sure, both stars acted like middle school mean girls, but the producers of “Idol” should have seen this coming ahead of time. While promises of a celebrity catfight might lure viewers to the show, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban may not enjoy being cast as referees.
