Kobe Trash Talks Obama, Makes a Young Fan Happy (Video)
Kobe Bryant visited the Ellen DeGeneres show this Friday, and while there, he discussed President Obama, and made one little fan’s day.
The Black Mamba has been coming out of his shell a lot lately. He’s opening up more to the press, doing more interviews, and posting photos on his Facebook to let his followers somewhat into his life.
While on the show, Kobe showed love to one young fan who submitted a video to Ellen about how much he loves the Laker star. In the video, ten year old Jarred Jones not only expresses how obsessed he is with Kobe, but shows all of the memorabilia he owns related to the superstar.
Ellen surprised little Jarred who was sitting in the audience with his mother by arranging a shooting contest between him and the Black Mamba. When Ellen asked Jarred if he thought he could beat Kobe, the witty 10-year-old replied, “Not a Chance”. Ellen encouraged him to try, and although Kobe obviously let him win, Jarred did a really great job by landing a few balls into the net. Kobe then jokingly invited him to play for the Lakers in November. It was a really cute moment.
This wasn’t the only highlight of Kobe being on the show. The 34-year-old shooting guard also talked about playing against Obama who he admits is “very, very good”.
“The thing that’s interesting is that if he makes a nice move, you kind of catch yourself. I’m going to steal the ball from him. Then all the sudden, I start peaking around looking for the CIA. I say, you know, I should just let him go.
He talks a lot of trash. You know he’s from Chicago – the Bulls through and through. He always talks Bulls this, the Bulls that. I’m like, my goodness. Can I talk trash to the President?”
When asked by Ellen if he did engage in any trash-talking, Kobe responded, ”Of course I did. I couldn’t help it.”
