Beyonce and Jay-Z help Obama raise $4 million for his campaign.

Ever wonder if the lives of former presidents were as glamorous as Obama’s? Probably not since they didn’t have full days of talk show appearances and parties to attend. Obama had an eventful day yesterday as he taped an episode of Letterman, had a fundraiser at the Waldorf Astoria and then, no big deal, spent the night at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan.

If you were one of the lucky 40 or so guests and were able to pay the $40,000 for the ticket, you could’ve been in the club with Jay, Bey and Obama. If you could only scrounge up about five bucks, then this is what you missed… With DJ Adam 12 acting as the night’s entertainment, the couple thanked everyone and welcomed them with a sincere, “I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama … we believe in his vision.”

Obama kept spirits high as he joked with Jay, “We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are.” He then gushed about Beyonce, “Beyoncé couldn’t be a better role model for our daughters because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent.”

He also noted how his wife and daughters were upset about missing out on the 40/40 evening, “Michelle and Malia and Sasha are mad at me because they are not here. (Laughter.) That doesn’t usually happen. Usually they’re like, we’re glad you’re going — we don’t need to go. But every time they get a chance to see these two they are thrilled, partly because they are just both so generous, particularly to my kids. And Malia and Sasha just love both of them.”

Who doesn’t love Jay-Z and Beyonce though?
