Rihanna opens up about Chris Brown to Oprah and finally admits that she does miss him.

Back in 2009 Rihanna was beat worse than black and blue by her then boyfriend Chris Brown. The world rallied on her side, but the “Umbrella” singer seems to have forgiven him while many others are still pretty angry. 

In a recent interview with Oprah that will air on the OWN network this Sunday, Rihanna admitted a lot about Brown. It’s clear she misses him when she says things like, “I’m reminded by a lot of things, a lot of good memories we had, by the slightest things — hotel rooms, tour venues, any little thing, music, songs.”

Of course she’s going to be reminded of him when it comes to music since both of them appeared on tracks with one another this year. Brown on her “Birthday Cake” remix, and she on his “Turn Up The Music” remix.

She also laments on how she was protective of Brown when they broke up, saying that he was going through a lot at the time. She noted:

“Who’s gonna help him? Nobody’s gonna say he needs help. Everybody’s gonna say he’s a monster without looking at the source. I was more concerned about him.”

While she says she wants a partner to share all she has with, not everyone is so sure it should be Brown, especially when she says things like:

“I want a man that loves me, cherishes me, values me — but they have to know my value in order to value me. I want them to respect me. But I want fun times. I want fun, fun times. I want laughs. I want laughs more than anything.”

Brown is definitely not that guy, not only because of what he did to her years ago, but because of how he recently disrespected her in a song, and his recurring immature behavior. It’s clear that the young singer still has a lot of growing up to do.
