Hope Solo Claims Maksim Chmerkovskiy Slapped Her
Hope Solo vs. Maksim Chmerkovskiy….
This is one of those “he said/she said” kind of situations, so it’s not easy to discern who’s telling the truth. However, over his numerous seasons on “Dancing with the Stars,” Maksim Chmerkovskiy has always come across as an arrogant jerk, so this lady’s accusation isn’t so hard to believe.
In her new memoir, soccer star Hope Solo alleges that her dancing partner Chmerkovskiy was physically abusive to her while the two were working together on the show. Here’s an excerpt:
“He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly. I thought that was just how it went – how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse. One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day.”
Solo also claims the show offered her the chance to change partners after Chmerkovskiy slapped her on the face during rehearsal, but she declined so as not to “end Maks’ career.”
Chmerkovskiy responded with this tweet on Thursday: “Always hated hypocrites and liars… but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can’t win at someone’s expense…”
He added on Friday, “Life’s best lessons are the ones that you smile through…..while they hurt you the most! I’m bullet proof….FIRE AWAY!”
Maybe Mad Maks better try to curb his temper this season, since he’s matched with Kirstie Alley. If he hits her, she’ll probably hit him back.
