Cuba Gooding Jr. is wanted for assault? What on earth has the world come to? The Oscar winning actor was out at a bar in New Orleans until early this morning when he allegedly pushed a female bartender.

The New Orleans Police Department tells TMZ … a misdemeanor battery warrant was issued after cops received a complaint that Cuba got physical at The Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street around 2:00 AM.

Sources say it began when fans recognized the ‘Red Tails’ star in the bar, and commenced to snapping photos of him. Apparently Gooding Jr. didn’t want any attention because he reportedly began cursing everyone out. When a female bartender asked him to leave, it was said that Gooding Jr. reacted by pushing her into a wall. 

Once he comes forward, police plan to arrest him immediately. This is unfortunate since the whole reason he’s in New Orleans is to film “The Butler”. A new Lee Daniels’ film that will depict the story of Eugene Allen, a black man who worked as a butler in the White House, serving eight presidents from 1952 to 1986.

Cuba was recently spotted on set of the film along with co-stars Oprah Winfrey and Lenny Kravitz. Other famous actors he’ll play alongside in the movie include Liam Neeson, Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, John Cusack and Forest Whitaker.
