Tito Jackson Jr. has taken on a huge new responsibility….
And it all happened so fast! Just one day after news broke that Tito Jackson’s son TJ was seeking legal guardianship of his late uncle Michael Jackson’s three children, a judge has appointed him to replace his grandmother Katherine.
While the current situation is temporary, Judge Mitch Beckloff suggested to TJ and his attorney Charles Shultz that they should file for permanent guardianship.
This is just another chapter in the weird world of the Jackson family, which has split into factions over Michael Jackson’s three children Prince, Paris and Blanket—as well as his estate. Over the last few days, Randy, Janet, Jermaine and Rebbie have been accused of holding Katherine against her will and even “kidnapping” her from the Jackson family compound. On the other side are TJ and Jackson brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie, who oppose the efforts of their siblings to control their mother.
Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, Perry Sanders, has stated that he will be filing a motion to reinstate her guardianship when she returns to L.A. The Jackson matriarch placed a call to ABC News on Wednesday afternoon, insisting she was fine and just took a “short vacation” away from the grandkids she was supposed to be caring for.
“I am devastated that while I’ve been away, my grandchildren have been taken away from me, and I’m coming home.”
When she does, we can expect even more drama from this fractured, dysfunctional clan.
