The drama just keeps coming in the current battle among members of the Jackson family. After last night’s brawl at the clan’s compound, some members are turning on each other, and things are likely to get even nastier in the fight for Michael Jackson’s millions.
While Tito Jackson originally sided with his siblings Jermaine, Janet, Rebbie and Randy in their plan to turn mom Katherine against the Michael Jackson Estate, now he’s telling TMZ that he’s had a change of heart.
According to Tito, “I completely retract my signature from the July 17th letter sent to the Executors of my brother Michael’s estate and repudiate all the claims made against them.” He added, “I don’t want any part of that letter whatsoever.”
Meanwhile, his 34-year-old son Tito Joe Jackson, better known as TJ, is making a legal bid to be named temporary guardian of Michael’s three kids Prince, Paris and Blanket. Sources told TMZ that all three are in favor of the move, feeling that their grandmother Katherine has been abducted by the siblings of their late dad.
What’s really at stake here is the will of Michael Jackson, which leaves the bulk of his fortune to his children—but nothing to some of his brothers and sisters. That’s why some members of the family have contested the will, and want to get their share before Katherine dies or the kids turn 18.
It’s never been much of a secret that some of the Jacksons have been living the high life for decades on Michael’s tab. Maybe now they should start thinking about getting a real job.
