More details about The Dark Knight Rises shooter come to light.

James Holmes will forever go down as the man who turned a Blockbuster weekend into one of tragedy. He is the man responsible for attending a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises and going on a shooting rampage. As the details pour in on the man behind the black mask, 12 have been confirmed dead and 58 injured.

Once Holmes was detained, Aurora, CO police set upon the murderer’s home to see what else they could find. They were met with a booby trapped apartment. Firefighters were standing by on Saturday morning in case anything went awry as Bomb Squads went in to disarm tripwires that were to set off a maze of liquids and mortar shells.  It is believed Holmes planned on having the apartment explode when the door was burst in.

Sgt. Cassidee Carlson of the Aurora Police Department commented, “This is some serious stuff they’re dealing with.”

Aside from the explosive home, more and more is coming to light about the personal life of Holmes, including drug use, his educational background, and his last online activity.

A UCR grad, Holmes dropped out from neuroscience PhD at University of Colorado in June. So he was a bright guy to say the least. This explains how he was able to concoct the arsenal used in the massacre. It has also been learned that Holmes was a part of Adult Friend Finder, a site for finding casual sex.

His profile picture depicts him with orange hair. It’s been said that he told police he was “The Joker.” This makes little sense since The Joker is usually shown with green hair, but does anything about this case make sense? No one should die while trying to enjoy a film.

Come Monday morning Holmes will appear in court to face what he has done, and even more will be learned on the whole “why” of the whole ordeal.
