The entire cast of The Dark Knight Rises were in New York Monday night for the world premiere of the blockbuster.
Director, Christopher Nolan, along with the stars, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, and others hit the red carpet at the AMC in Lincoln Square Theater. Batman himself, Bale, was a hot commodity with reporters, and he had a lot to say on the character he’s played numerous times.
“It’s the only character I’ve played three times and there’s certainly a lot more stories that could be told, he’s a really interesting character, but enough’s enough. It’s nice to leave when we’re out on top instead of leaving people wanting less.”
He had more to say on this being the end of his Batman line, “Yeah, it’s bittersweet, but I think though that Chris is such a good storyteller, if he says it’s the right time to finish, it’s the right time to finish.”
Batman wasn’t the only one getting the questions though. New Catwoman, Hathaway, was asked about her wedding day and if she had any time to keep up with her own personal life, “I don’t, I can’t, I’m not able to.”
We loved seeing the stars of the film on the carpet, but we’re even more excited to see them on the big screen!
The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters July 20th.
