Kris Humphries just received a pretty huge payday from his team, the Brooklyn Nets, going from an $8 million dollar contract for just one year, to a new $24 million contract for two years. Looks like he’s making his own bucks in life without the Kardashian name backing him. Humphries was so excited about the deal, he finally fired back at Kanye West, tweeting: 

“I’m up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ ‘lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team’ lol!”

Humphries has held his tongue long enough! He made the wrong move when marrying Kim Kardashian nearly a year ago. The poor guy stepped into some drama that might take him a while to get out of. Not only did it appear that Humphries was nothing but a pawn in the Kardashian/Jenner game, used only to create more publicity, but the NBA star had also been verbally attacked by Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend, controversial rapper Kanye West. 

In a single released a few months ago by West entitled “Way Too Cold”, Kanye clearly went after Humphries when rapping:

“And I admit I had fell in love with Kim, at the same time she had fell in love with him. Well that’s cool baby girl, do ya thang, lucky I ain’t have Jay drop em from the team!” 

This line was an obvious shot at Humphries since the team he currently plays for is partly owned by rapper and mogul Jay-Z, Kanye’s close friend. However, Humphries continued to remain silent, and made no comment about the song or the situation….until now.

That’s right Kris! Reclaim your dignity!
