Rihanna Drunk Tweets After Grandma’s Funeral, Plans Reality Show
Rihanna’s going through it…
It’s been a rough few days for pop star Rihanna, as she lost her beloved grandmother Dolly, then had to put on a brave face to perform at the Wireless Festival in NYC. Rihanna had spent the previous two weeks with her ailing relative, who died from cancer at a NYC hospital July 1st.
To make losing someone she loved even sadder, the 24-year-old singer had to make an appearance at not one but two funerals, the first in New York, a second in Barbados. Photographers at the second service caught Rihanna looking composed but pained in a chic black dress and heels.
The singer drowned her sorrows in a beer bottle (or maybe a few) and tweeted a sad photo of her makeup-free face covered in recent tears. Rihanna captioned the shot, “I had to!!! Sorry granny.”
On a brighter note, Rihanna is busy developing her own reality TV show called “Styled to Rock.” The show, which will air on Sky Living in the U.K., will feature the very fashionable star mentoring a dozen young British designers.
The singer plans to move to London for the filming of the series, and a source told the Sun, “Since she started shooting the Sky program – a search for new fashion designers – she’s got really into it and wants to commit fully. And the crew behind the show have been surprised at the effort she’s putting in.”
Maybe this project is just what Rihanna needs to take her mind off her sorrow.
