Justin Bieber is beginning to act more like a rock star all the time now! On Friday morning, the 18-year-old singer was spotted driving at high speeds on L.A.’s 101 Freeway and cited by the CHP for reckless driving.

Bieber was driving his flashy chrome-colored Fisker Karma and allegedly weaving in and out of traffic when he got pulled over at the intersection of Vineland and Ventura Blvd.

One witness to the incident was L.A. City Councilman—and former LAPD officer—Dennis Zine, who claims the pop star was trying to outrun a team of paparazzi. Zine told TMZ, “Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane.”

Zine stated, “If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac.”

Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, scoffed at the story, telling TMZ that Zine “is just a councilman looking for a headline.” Braun added that his client was cited for going 80 mph while being chased by the paparazzi.

Bieber may not be the only one in hot water over this incident, since the CHP is investigating what role the paps played in the speeding spree.
