Seth MacFarlane is known best for his voice on the small screen in the FOX hits Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show, but come next week he’ll be hitting the box office as a cuddly and crude teddy bear in Ted. His comedic style in animation has led him to be one of the most successful men in Hollywood, but there’s probably some things people don’t know right off the bat about him.
-His production company, Fuzzy Door, is named after his apartment door in Rhode Island that was covered in fur.
-Closing in on 40, he was only 24 when he created a 15 minute short for FOX that eventually led to Family Guy.
-Seth has quite the singing voice due to the fact that he was given voice training by a 90-year-old couple who also happened to train Frank Sinatra.
-Related to history; his ancestors were Mayflower passengers.
-Seth almost became history when he was set to catch the first plane that crashed into the Twin Towers on September 11th, but he missed his flight.
-He worked for Hanna-Barbera writing for 90’s favorites Dexter’s Laboratory and Cow and Chicken, which probably influenced him to bring back a classic. He’s currently working on bringing The Flintstones back to TV in 2013.
