Johnny Depp has always been a celebrity who remains extremely private about his family life, and pretty much all aspects of his life for that matter. Depp has been in a 14 year relationship (not marriage) with Vanessa Paradis, a French singer and actress. Today Depp’s publicist has shared the news that the couple have officially called it quits. 

“Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.”

Depp and Paradis have not been very open about their love, but the pair’s relationship has lasted longer than most Hollywood marriages. Depp and Paradis have two children together, a 13-year-old daughter Lily-Rose Melody Depp and a 10-year-old son John “Jack” Christopher Depp III. 

Depp and his family would spend some of their time at a home they owned in the suburbs of Paris, some of their time on a small island they purchased in the Bahamas, a villa they owned in Saint Tropez, and two homes they purchased in Los Angeles.

Wow! Depp is an extremely shy person, but he’s definitely not a cheap person. 

Depp and Paradis met while filming The Ninth Gate in 1998.  Depp was married in the early 80s to Lori Anne Allison for two years. He later dated Sherilyn Fenn for 3 years, before meeting Winona Ryder whom he was engaged to for another 3 years. Depp was then involved with Kate Moss for four years, before finally meeting Paradis. 

Sheesh Johnny, who’s next on the list? I’m sure plenty of women have been waiting for him to get back on the market, so we’ll see how this plays out.
