Kate Middleton Celebrates Father’s Day with Inner-City Children
Kate Middleton, the beautiful Duchess of Cambridge , spent her Father’s Day giving back. The princess joined a group of inner city youth on a camping trip in Kent, England. Lucky kids! Most people won’t get anywhere near the princess, and they were given a chance to camp with her.
The children gathered together to build tents and start campfires with the goal of learning how to work as a team. The children, of course, had tons of questions to ask Middleton, mostly regarding her life as royalty.
Middleton told the tots, “It’s very busy and great fun but I am very well looked after.” One of the 8-year-old’s told reporters, “She said William was very sweet and kind and spoiled her.”
How cute is that? On the camping trip, Middleton wore Le Chameau boots, Zara jeans, and a Burberry top. This is the last charitable cause the Duchess has participated in this week.
Just this past Friday, Middleton met with 150 children in Kensington Gardens for the production of the play C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The youth in attendance were from Middleton’s charity the Art Room, which offers art therapy to children who suffer from emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Clearly, the Duchess is not just trying to sit back and enjoy the luxury of living in a palace. Kate’s using her status to help those who are less fortunate. Kudos!
