Heidi Montag will do anything for attention, even reunite with her mother after two years of the silent treatment.

The Hills star and her mother Darlene Egelhoff reunited this month for Swedish massages, and wine tasting at the Demetria Estate in California’s Santa Ynez Valley. The awkwardly staged photographs that resulted from the mother/daughter bonding have people skeptical if it’s all just for show. Since Heidi’s involved, it probably is.

The pair fell off speaking terms two years ago when Egelhoff publically chastised her daughter’s “improved” look after Heidi underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day. Mom wasn’t pleased and voiced her thoughts clearly.

“How do I go and say that of course I thought you were more beautiful before? I thought you were younger, I thought you were fresher-looking, I thought you were healthier”

Over the years though, mom has tried to get in touch, but was unsuccessful. “I’ve been writing to Heidi, trying to reach her, but she’s not responding.”

So it was on Heidi’s end then? Another reason for the broken family could’ve been because of Heidi’s man, Spencer Pratt. The resident douchebag once referred to his mother-in-law as “just a vagina.” Well that’s not nice…

The photos from the reunion seem full of forced smiles and come across as fake as the chest ornament pieces Heidi bought once upon a time.
