Jada Pinkett Smith is one of the stars in the new movie Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. Jada Pinkett definitely can be considered a jill of all trades, seeing as to how she’s an actress, producer, manager,  wife and mother all rolled up into one. 

While walking down the red carpet at one of the premieres for the new film, joined by her husband Will Smith, Jada stopped for a moment to talk with People about her marriage, how it’s grown, and how much further it can go. 

Jada on her upcoming 15 year marriage anniversary:

“Fifteen years! It’s amazing, isn’t it?”

“I was just doing the Today show, and there was a couple there who was celebrating 59 years of marriage, and I thought to myself, ’15 years ain’t nothing, you know?’ It’s just the beginning. That’s the way I look at it.”

On how they celebrate: 

“You know, we celebrate throughout the year. But usually on our wedding anniversary, we give ourselves a high-five and go, ‘We survived another year, homie! Yeah!”

On how they’ve changed: 

“You know, we are nothing like what we were when we first met. Nothing like that. Biggest change is that we have grown up. We have matured.” 

On being best friends with your mate: 

“We as men and women have to learn how to be friends with one another. It’s not just about loving someone. It’s about understanding, acceptance and compassion. You have to be there for each other. That’s how you build great relationships.” 

On Will attending the Madagascar 3 premiere: 

That’s the whole point of having family. Tell me what that’s going to look like at home if he doesn’t come to something as important as this!”

Although there has been several rumors of trouble in Will and Jada’s paradise…it seems that the couple is still holding on tight.
