Anne Hathaway’s Ex To Be Released From Prison After 4.5 Years

Anne Hathaway’s Ex To Be Released From Prison After 4.5 Years
ronireports

Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, was imprisoned in 2008 after entering into a guilty plea taking on 14 counts of wire fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy.

The case was so huge, because Follieri tried to use his Italian roots in a scam that was never before heard of. He attempted to buy churches throughout America claiming that he was on a mission for the Pope. From this, Hathaway’s boyfriend obtained millions of dollars from investors.

I mean, how else was he supposed to impress his superstar girlfriend?

Follieri admitted he owes $3.6 million or more to the people involved in the scandal. At least he put the money towards a good cause though. He used it to pay for his lavish lifestyle that included a $37,000-a-month apartment in the big apple. But the guy’s a romancer…he didn’t only think about himself. He also was sure to take Hathaway out on several dream vacations. Poor Anne, I’m sure she thought she had found her Prince Charming…

Once all of Follieri’s crimes were exposed, and things hit the fan, Hathaway must of been just as shocked as we were. She dropped the boyfriend of 4 years like a bad habit. Hathaway has since moved on with actor Adam Shulman who will be playing alongside her in the much awaited Dark Knight Rises

Hopefully Follieri doesn’t get too jealous watching the on screen couple…as he’s being released from prison just in time to see the film. The Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesman Chris Burke says the scam artist is scheduled to be released Friday from a prison in Loretto, 80 miles east of Pittsburgh.

However, he might have to wait until The Dark Knight Rises hits Europe. Upon his release from jail, he will be immediately deported right back to where he was born…Italy.

I’m sure Hathaway will be glad to see him go. Not only did he commit a crime against the law…but he also stole from churches and lied on the pope! Not sure if 4.5 years was enough time…
