John Travolta, Jennifer Hudson, Katherine Jackson: Celebrity Court Case Round-Up

If VH1 still had Best Week Ever, celebrity court cases would be having it with Jennifer Hudson’s family ordeal being resolved, Michael Jackson’s mother being put off and one male masseur dropping off John Travolta.
Last Friday Jennifer Hudson and the rest of her loved ones were relieved to hear a guilty verdict read for William Balfour. Balfour was found guilty of murdering Hudson’s mother, brother and 7 year old nephew and will be spending the rest of his days in jail. His attorney, Amy Thompson, said Balfour will file for an appeal. In the meantime it looked like Hudson and Co. were uh…celebrating the victory at Six Flags the next day.
Someone not celebrating? Michael Jackson’s mother. Katherine Jackson filed a case against AEG Live claiming they, “somehow forced Mr. Jackson to receive dangerous medication from his physician.” Katherine’s case against AEG Live for hiring Conrad Murray got put on hold until next year. One of the reasons being that new evidence revealed Jackson had a long standing drug abuse problem way before Murray entered his life. Shocker? Not really.
Ladies can’t have all the cases. John Travolta was on everyone’s minds this past week when sexual harassment charges from two different male masseurs surfaced. One man in LA and another in Atlanta had some pretty juicy and disturbing allegations, but this week the LA man dropped his case. This leaves only the man from Atlanta still seeking out $2 million from Travolta.
All this drama makes you kind of happy you have a “normal” life, doesn’t it?
