Basketball Wives:Will Nia Crooks Serve Prison Time for Slapping Jennifer Williams?
Basketball Wives’ stars get their own personal fouls. Jennifer Williams and Nia Crooks may soon see themselves in a different kind of court after a swing Nia took at Jennifer on the VH1 show.
Nia is the assistant to “Basketball Wife” Evelyn Lozada, and back in January while filming an episode of the show in South Florida, she and Jennifer got into a heated argument. According to Nia, the two were once really good friends…but Jen has since changed and developed the idea that she’s better than everyone else. During the confrontation, Nia became extremely angry, asking Jennifer, “Do you need to be slapped in your f*ck*ng face to realize the situation?” Jen pushed the wrong button when she replied with an attitude “Yeah, yeah I really wish you would.” This resulted in the slap that aired last Monday night.
The hit in the face was in the beginning of the year and the charges were just filed on April 10th, conveniently a week before the episode aired. I want to say this was all a publicity stunt, but the reported charges seem all too real. If convicted, Nia could face up to a year in prison. Jennifer claims she is still suffering from a neck injury caused by the slap. Come on Jen, a slap that happened four months ago?! Something smells fishy… The case might be real, but Jennifer seems all too fake.
TMZ sheds some light in Nia’s favor though, with a statement from her lawyer Marc David Seitles, “The women on the show executed contracts expressly accepting the risk that a physical altercation could occur.” The lawyers also plan to throw Jen’s attitude on the show into the evidence ring as well, ”Given that Jennifer herself has previously instigated fights on the show, to cry foul now is absurd and a desperate attempt for publicity and money. We will fight until Nia is vindicated.”
It seems that Basketball Wives is getting an actual hint of real reality because of Nia and Jennifer’s table side altercation. If one had to take sides in this…we’d say…Jennifer sue her for all she has! You have to get some vindication for being slapped on television in front of millions. It’s well, a little embarrassing…
BUT, when you do “reality” TV, you have to expect some fist fights, right?

You sound like one of the ghetto fools on this show. Who cares if someone stuck by you in hard times. It may be child hearted but no one is legally obligated to be your friend forever. Grow up. Friendships can be ended at anytime, for any reason, or no reason, with no warning or explanation. That’s life. The law trumps a reality show. If assault is acceptable then Tami deserved the assault she suffered at the hands of an angry man. According to her when assaulted you should just take it and move on. Ghetto mess.

This has got to stop! Where do we stop? So, somebody says something you don’t like, and now, you feel that it’s ok to slap the taste out their mouth…now, they’re rabid-dog mad and come back w/a hammer because they don’t know how to fight, so they use whatever is laying around to “defend” themselves……NOW, YOU ARE LIVID and don’t want to look like no punk, especially on “national television”, and you shoot this person cuz you were mad? this may sound drastic, but it happens! Jennifer is already in the lime-light and every soul on this show wanted to be in the lime-light or they would have never done the show…it is their right to make money being on t.v. and endorse products, parties, or whatever else they choose to do, but NO-1 should be allowed to “slap a ho” cuz she having a bad day! Thank you!!! They all don’t see how Shaunie is just using them. She’s the biggest instigator and Tami is her side kick stirring the pot with everyone! Evelyn is a damn fool not seeing this and last season even when Shaunie instigated the beef between Tami and Evelyn AND admitted to doing so, Evelyn never said anything. Nia’s just trying to be relevant and she doesn’t know she looks like another stupid pawn in Shaunie’s game. They’re all being played. Tami needs to quit acting like a damn bully. Jennifer can say whatever she wants after a grown woman slaps her in the face. I’d hit them in their pockets too since they can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves.
Tammy needs to grow up. She blames everyone for not being able to control her temper. It’s disgusting to see her keep having “issues” with new cast members over petty stuff. She has issues with people talking behind her back, but people have to because she can’t communicate to their front. She needs to stop fronting like she is trying so hard to control herself and act with class, when we can see right through her. She has attention issues, needs everyone to focus on her and will get it by nitpicking and bullying.
How is she so hard, when she can’t take someone talking behind her back? Sounds like thin skin. It’s no one’s fault if she is too weak to control her emotions. She gets off on the drama and so does her new shadow Evelynn. Evelynn thirsts for a confrontation when Tami has had one. Shawni sits back and acts like she is so innocent and doesn’t know what happened, but they all premeditate their actions and act like overgrown fools then blame the person they acted out on. Maybe if Evelynn took some of that attitude with her man when he disrespects her, she might not be running around blowing up trying to get some validation and attention acting like Tammy’s shadow.
News flash, it ain’t cute to see two women as old as both of them acting like fools. I thought they were both pretty before, but their actions are so fake and ugly. Susie pretends she is a peacemaker and wants everyone to get along, but still hasn’t caught on that no one believes it. She’s always running her mouth and then can’t believe the drama that follows. Really Susie?
I don’t blame Jen for wanting new friends, if they aren’t growing with you and can’t understand you are going through a divorce and don’t have time for their foolishness, then you are better off without them.

The You guys hit it right on the head…..Shawnie needs sued on top of Evelyn and Nia. She is the show creator and sits back and laughs when they are all at it, and I would sue her for all the physical and mental abuse going on in her show. I can’t even watch anymore cause to see grown women act like this is embarrising to us real women! The only Real women on the show are Jenn, Royce, and Keisha. Keisha acts like a lady when PSYCHO TAMMI is going off. She needs put in a straight jacket i think their next trip needs to be to a mental hospital with rubber wall rooms for each of them, Evelyn, Nia, Tammi, Kendra, Shawnie, and Susie! Susie is the biggest back stabber on the show!

First of all, these grown women that act like they are two years old are really, really sad. Tami is a bully because she has so much fear in her. There is nothing lady like about you. You definitely need Jesus in your life. Counselors, threapist, or even a psycologist can not help you. You are full of demons. Only Jesus can help you.
